Utility Room at the Kent Project | Where Style Meets Functionality Published: 18-04-2023 This is the super cool and stunning utility room we worked on at the Kent Project. Painted in one of our bespoke colours, ‘Windward’, and adorned with luxurious Verona quartz worktops by CRL, it exudes elegance and sophistication. This room is an absolute dream to work in, perfectly organised and designed to meet all your needs. We wanted this space to feel unique, different from a kitchen. We generally like the utility room to feel connected to the kitchen and the other engine rooms around it like the boot room / pantry etc, but we never want to use create a replica kitchen – that just doesn’t feel right. The utility room should have its own identity. So we created something entirely distinct, with less space around the sink and ample worktop for all your activities. We placed the sink under the window so it’s sits centrally, allowing you to bask in natural light while you carry out your daily tasks. We then ran the worktop along the wall, tucking it behind the tall cabinetry that houses the appliances. The result? A space that feels functional, practical, and oh so chic. This room is perfect for all your laundry needs, whether it’s sorting, folding, or washing those muddy football boots. And let’s not forget about flower arranging. The Miele washing machines and tumble dryers are stacked, making it a breeze to tackle any laundry-related tasks. Trust me, this room is equipped to handle even the busiest of households. When it comes to utility rooms, there’s one piece of cabinetry that often gets overlooked – the drying cupboard. But trust us, once you have it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. With its thermostatically controlled settings, this magical cupboard is a game-changer for drying delicate items like cashmere and silk that can’t go in the tumble dryer. And the best part? It keeps everything out of the way and ensures your entrance stays clear and uncluttered. In all our HM projects, we believe that practicality and aesthetics go hand in hand – and the drying cupboard is no exception. So elevate your utility room with this must-have piece of cabinetry.Utility and scullery rooms may not be the most glamorous spaces in our homes, but they are essential. They are the behind-the-scenes heroes that keep our kitchens looking orderly and our lives running smoothly. And if you’re one of the lucky ones to have a designated utility room, don’t let it go to waste! Instead of treating it like a mere dumping ground, let it shine. With a little bit of organisation and some clever design choices, your utility room can be a thing of beauty. Trust us, it doesn’t take a fortune to make it look exquisite. The satisfaction of seeing the finished product? Truly breathtaking.
