Simon Rogan’s Michelin-starred neighbourhood restaurant Rogan & Co set in the ever beautiful Cumbrian village of Cartmel has announced a week long celebration this coming March of his new book ‘Rogan: The Cookbook’. This special event will comprise an exclusive six-course menu of recipes specially selected from Simon’s book for guests to enjoy.The first ever Rogan book week will be taking place from Monday 4th March – Sunday 10th March 2019 with a selection of Simon’s favourite dishes from the book on the menu for guests to sample. You will also be pleased to hear that L’Enclume has a selection of beautiful rooms to choose from too so you can make an already amazing experience an unforgettable one.Simon Rogan, head chef Tom Barnes and the team will be creating the six course taster menu that will be available for lunch and dinner Monday – Saturday and Sunday lunchtime at £85 per person, diners also have the option to include wine or a selection of cocktails to compliment each dish.The lineup of dishes for the event include salt baked turnip, egg yolk and pork lardo, chicken with mushroom and creamed kale as well as a dessert of poached pear with rosehip and cobnut crumb, which all sounds absolutely delicious.You may also like to know that much most of the food used in these dishes are made from produce grown on Simon’s ‘Our Farm’ in Cartel Valley.Signed copies of Rogan: The Cookbook will be available throughout the week and contains stories as well as incredible but very accessible recipes that illustrate the connection between nature, food and the importance of local produce.
