Miele Coffee Machine 101

Published:

It’s safe to say at Humphrey Munson we love coffee and so do many of our clients- especially when it’s made with a Miele coffee machine. It can however be hard to choose between the Miele bean-to-cup models and the Nespresso models as they are similar but fantastic in their own right. If you’re struggling to choose, here is everything you need to know…

We all prefer certain types of coffee (unless of course you don’t like it at all!) and the great thing about the Nespresso is that the carousel can hold up to 20 capsules in five different varieties at a time – that’s a lot of coffee choice!

Using the Miele Nespresso machine like the one pictured above is a walk in the park. Miele’s intuitive systems are easy to use and are self-explanatory. The really great thing about the Nespresso is that you can set up to ten different user programmes, meaning your double shot cappuccino will always turn out just the way you like it.

It is also worth mentioning that many of the Miele Nespresso compartments can actually go in the dishwasher (although we would advise checking which parts via the manual before doing so) which helps to make thoroughly cleaning the coffee machine easier than ever.

Alternatively, the built in CVA 6401 bean-to-cup coffee machine (pictured above at the Tudor Manor house project) is available in graphite grey, brilliant white and obsidian black to better suit the surrounding cabinetry/ overall style of the kitchen. The bean-to cup has a whole host of features, for example you have the option to programme no less than ten customisable individual user profiles – so both friends and family can have their very own type of coffee set up.

It also has a high-quality conical grinding mill and Miele’s EasyClick milk system which can be snapped into place or removed really easily which helps to ensure that preparing a range of hit drinks like espressos and creamy lattes is always super easy. The bean-to-cup also has three containers for coffee beans so that you always have a choice of which freshly ground coffee you fancy.

Exclusive to Miele, the patented ComfortDoor system on the bean-to-cup gives convenient access to the removable water container, the drip tray and the waste container whilst the system lock prevents inadvertent operation by children for peace of mind. For those looking for a plumbed in option, the CVA6405 model offers the same impressive features with the option to use fresh water, saving time on refilling the water container – perfect for busy kitchens like the Ingatestone project above.
