Each building was carefully taken apart beam by beam, numbered then reassembled in a three acre park in Megéve where they now proudly reside permanently and have become the destination of your dreams.

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the chic village of Megéve, with surrounding view of Mont Blanc, Mant Charvin and Aravis mountain range with a ski area of over 1400 acres to choose from.

Skiing isn’t the only experience Les Fermes de Marie has to offer though,  you can also partake in hiking, snowshoeing, snow golf, snowmobiling, sleigh rides or a sled dog race…

 The resort also offers guests the opportunity to sit and contemplate the snow-capped mountains, seated at one of the many sunny terraces wrapped in a cosy blanket with a warm mug of hot chocolate.

After a day of skiing in the winter or hiking and horse riding in the summer, the hotel offers calm and quiet spaces to relax in. Guests are invited to sit in the library with a quiet game of chess, try the afternoon tea with homemade pastries, unwind in the spa or enjoy and aperitif from the bar before dinner.

The hotel has 70 rooms and suites in total plus two large chalets for private hire. Based on traditional simplicity with all the modern comforts, locally milled wools soften the natural wood interiors and thick curtains help to block out the light and bustle of the world for a divine nights sleep.

Antique furniture has been carefully selected by the talented Jocelyne Sibuet. Each piece has been decorated in a unique and custom style that suits each room perfectly.

A total of three onsite restaurants make for an interesting culinary experience. Classic French cuisine served at Restaurant Traditional (pictured above) is a must and in the summer and autumn Les Fermes de Marie offers a Table d’hôtes in a serenely beautiful and natural setting high among the alpine fields where you can gaze at the snowy peaks of Mont Blanc, whilst you dine.

Winter at Les Fermes de Marie offers magical snow covered scenery that attracts both experienced and beginner skiers alike to the 300km of slopes and 80 perfectly integrated ski lifts within three areas, the natural barrier of nearby Mont Blanc creates excellent, almost guaranteed ski conditions throughout the season.

With the turn of spring and summer the landscape turns into an equally beautiful blanket of lush greenery.
