Having previously visited the Ivy Chelsea Garden’s main restaurant, we wanted to focus more on the outdoor area and get a little garden design inspiration at the same time…

The whole look and feel of the Ivy Chelsea Garden is distinctly vibrant with just a whiff of nostalgic England. Most of the outside furnishings are just as colourful as the foliage that surrounds the garden, which, as the main focus, draws people in with its array of climbers, exotic palms and scattered pots.

There’s also a delightful orangery with an eclectic mix of pots, plants, and hanging urns which brings the outside in and is so romantic by candlelight or the ideal place to sit out all during a warm mid-summer evening with friends. With the clever use of predominantly evergreen plants that encompass the interior and exterior of the Ivy Chelsea Garden, each of the multiple areas blend seamlessly together yet manage to sustain their individual personality and style.

The covered upper terrace is full of lush foliage to give the impression of dining in woodland no matter what time of year it is. Much of the outside area has hidden heaters and fire pits for cooler evenings without distracting the eye from the more natural surroundings.
