How to Design Your Vanity Unit With HM

1. Choose your vanity unit cabinetry design…

We have four designs to choose from, they each come in four sizes but if you need a bespoke size or even design just get in touch.

2. Choose your Finish…

If you’re choosing a painted finish for the exterior of the vanity unit, you can choose from our bespoke range of HM paint colours. These are all exclusive to HM and made by Mylands. The vanity units arrives fully finished. Here are some of the most popular colours for the vanity units…

3. Choose your internal Finish…

We have a range of interior oak finishes to choose from, but do bear in mind you could also use these as an external finish too. Again, here are some of the most popular options to date. We recently used the Portobello oak on a Holywell vanity unit in a project in Parsons Green which we will photograph soon – it looks incredible.

4. Choose your worktop…

We recommend mineral (previously known as quartz) worktops for the vanity units as this is a super hard-wearing finish and really easy to clean. These are some of our favourites – Verona is especially popular as it is so reminiscent of marble, but you can also specify a lovely marble too if you prefer.

5. Choose your hardware finish…

The beautiful finishes by Joseph Giles are below – these are living finishes (except polished nickel) so will patina with time creating a beautiful and natural finish.

6. Choose your handles…

We have two handle choices for the handles – the Carton bar handle which is a super smart, a beautiful contemporary design. The Pip knobs on the other hand are more traditional and feature a lovely soft detailing to the rose of the handle.

7. Choose your Tap…

The world is your oyster when it comes to taps – we love to use Waterworks, Lefroy Brooks, Perrin & Rowe and Samuel Health in our HM projects and each company have so many beautiful choices at various price points. Here are some of our favourites…

8. Choose your Sink…

We always recommend Waterworks for the sinks, they are the best quality and the fitment is always really spot on. From the simple Clara undermount, to the Normandy hammered metal sink, there are some beautiful choices to consider.

And of course, to complete your chosen vanity unit and further enhance the overall design of your bathroom, many clients source bathroom tiles from our curated collection of Decorative or Ceramic tiles.

You might also want to choose coordinating flooring from our HM range ensuring a cohesive finish throughout.
