Berkeley oak bespoke dog bed

If you follow HM on social media you’ll know we love our four legged friends and for so many of our clients their pets are a huge part of their daily lives. We think it’s important to consider all aspects of a functioning home when designing our projects, and having a designated area for pets to go to and chill out is really important. Peter Humphrey, the design director and founder of HM, designed a stand alone dog bed that will tie in with the overall design of the project and provide a lovely cosy spot for dogs (or cats!) to curl up.

Designed and manufactured using traditional joinery techniques at Humphrey Munson’s workshops in Felsted, Essex, each dog bed is made to order and is set on four sturdy feet with a sweeping curve that was inspired by HM’s traditional swan neck drawers used in their projects.

Each dog bed is handmade using dovetail joints – a mainstay of traditional English cabinetmaking that not only looks lovely but provides a stronger join which provides longevity. Two handles either side are perfect for ensuring they can be easily transported either around the house or stowed in the back of the car so that pets can travel in style.

Much like our kitchens, the dog beds are designed and built to last.

Bonnie has the medium dog bed in the Berkeley oak finish, the dimensions of this size are 800mm x 600mm x 295mm.  They cost £395 including VAT but excluding delivery.
