Behind the scenes in our Felsted showroom Published: 06-09-2022 We currently have 26 different natural stones and porcelains in our display spaces across our two showrooms; 23 in Felsted, Essex and 3 in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Our flagship showroom in Felsted, Essex (around 20 minutes from Stansted Airport) has four working kitchens, two walk-in pantries, a utility room, boot room, wine room and an outdoor kitchen – all with flooring available from HM Flooring Library. We have listed just a few of the tiles we have on display below. Natural stone: The Spenlow utility room in the Felsted showroom has Fairford natural limestone installed. The pale, muted tone of this tile belies its strength and durability. With natural fossil and vein markings scattered across the surface of this tile, there is enough character to give this contemporary flooring an understated feel. This calm, collected Nickleby kitchen in our Felsted showroom has Earl Grey natural limestone installed. This limestone tile is tumbled, resulting in softened edges, with a gently mottled texture and a very cool grey/ taupe shade, which brings a serene feel to this space. Perfect for both classic and contemporary rooms, from kitchens and hallways to boot rooms and bathrooms, it is the ideal all-rounder!Versatile and durable the Cadogan limestone weathered is a rustic beauty. Installed in the Traditional Spenlow kitchen in the Felsted showroom, this is a classic English flooring available in the large format 60cm x random x 2cm which always looks incredible in both large and smaller spaces. With the etched, low-slip finish, this beautiful, rustic limestone is fantastic around indoor and outdoor swimming pools.Manoir natural limestone is a super choice for classic, contemporary spaces and is available to view in the Longford pantry at the Felsted showroom. The Manoir is only lightly tumbled which has created a slightly rounded edge and gives the surface some depth, however, the overall look and feel is a classic, smart limestone that looks absolutely stunning and will work in a multitude of spaces. Porcelain:Offering a clever timber alternative, the Ebury porcelain tile mimics the character of natural wood without the maintenance. Available to view in the Contemporary Spenlow kitchen (which is actually the first kitchen you walk into when visiting the Felsted showroom), the Ebury is a durable, floor ideal for those who love the look of natural timber floor without the upkeep. The Longford kitchen in our Felsted showroom is a combination of modern innovation and classic design which is enhanced ten-fold by the Sloane porcelain flooring. With replica mineral detail throughout, the Sloane porcelain tile has tones of ivory and flecks of both light and dark grey to create the illusion of a natural stone floor. With a smooth surface and square edges, it offers a subtle contemporary finish and can be paired with the outdoor version for a continuous, seamless flow.Decorative stone on display:As well as flooring tiles, we are also pleased to offer a selection of decorative stones, these include the exquisite Beaufort marble tile. Gracefully understated, the Beaufort decorative tile set in a chevron format works so well in kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms for the ultimate luxurious, contemporary finish. The marble recrystallisation process is what gives the tiles their unique veining with the visible markings creating an individual finish. As well as the flooring installed throughout our showrooms, we also offer an extensive collection of natural stone and porcelain flooring tiles, engineered oak flooring and decorative stone which can be viewed at our Felsted showroom.
