Kitchen Confidential | A Luxury Bespoke Kitchen in Ascot, Berkshire Published: 13-09-2015 After seeing the Ashurst House project featured in EKBB Magazine, the homeowners of this breathtakingly beautiful luxury home in Ascot, Berkshire asked us to help them create their dream kitchen.Comprising a large open plan kitchen / dining space, utility room, boot room and laundry room, the project was almost completely a blank canvas, with the exception of the kitchen which was cramped and ill-fitting for the large space. With three young children, the home needed to serve the needs of the family first but also needed to be suitable for entertaining family and friends. The kitchen features a host of cooking appliances designed with entertaining in mind including the legendary Wolf Duel fuel Range with Charbroiler with a Westin extractor installed above. Opposite the Wolf range and integrated into the island are a Miele microwave and Miele sous chef warming drawer for maximum convenience. The large kitchen island acts the main prep area and includes a Villeroy & Boch Double Butler Sink with insinkerator waste disposal, Perrin & Rowe Callisto Mixer Tap with rinse and a Quooker Pro Vaq 3 Classic tap finished in polished nickel. The eurocargo recycling pullout bins are located in the island with a Miele dishwasher handily located either side to ensure maximum efficiency.Choosing the iconic Sub-Zero fridge freezer for this kitchen was a super choice for this large kitchen / dining area and provides ample storage. The base cupboards and tall cupboards in the kitchen are painted in Cornforth White by Farrow & Ball with Fumed Oak interiors. The island is painted in Moles Breath by Farrow & Ball, while the freestanding Cook’s Pantry is painted in Railings, also by Farrow & Ball and with a bespoke fumed oak interior. The dining area has a Weathered Oak Refectory Table by Humphrey Munson. The table seats 10 so works really well for entertaining friends and family in the open plan kitchen / dining area. The seating is by Vincent Sheppard which is perfect for a family with young children because they can be easily maintained with a moist towel and some natural soap. The Cook’s Pantry is the perfect place for storing dry goods in the kitchen and has masses of storage with spice and condiment racks, deep shelves and 5 drawers. Our pantries and larders have never been so popular, particularly for big country kitchens where there is the space for large freestanding pieces. The Utility Room located just off the kitchen area has floor to ceiling Spenlow cabinetry painted in Purbeck Stone by Farrow & Ball. It has a Villeroy & Boch single sink with Perrin & Rowe Callisto Mixer Tap with a rinse for maximum convenience. The Laundry Room has tall cupboards for storage, along with base cupboards all painted in Purbeck Stone by Farrow & Ball. Similar to the Utility Room, the Laundry room also has the single sink is by Villeroy & Boch and has the Perrin & Rowe Callisto Mixer Tap with rinse. The Boot Room is a designated cloakroom area located between the hallway and the kitchen and includes a large freestanding Housekeeper’s Cupboard, seating with integrated storage and an open cloakroom cupboard. The cabinetry is painted in Attic II by Little Greene Paint Company and has fumed oak interiors and seating. To see the full portfolio of images of the Grange kitchen project you can take a look here.
